The Department of Health Management at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), University of Prince Edward Island, invites applications for a 5-month term faculty position starting July 15th, 2024 in Comparative Theriogenology at the Lecturer or Assistant Professor level, depending on qualifications and experience. This position is subject to budgetary approval.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Responsibilities and duties will include teaching in clinical, didactic, and laboratory settings in the DVM program and providing clinical services for the Veterinary Teaching Hospital in theriogenology. Senior veterinary students will accompany farm service veterinarians during the provision of theriogenology services.QUALIFICATIONS:

  • DVM or equivalent
  • Eligible for licensure with the Prince Edward Island Veterinary Medical Association. Details on eligibility can be found at
. * Board certification or eligibility for board certification with the American College of Theriogenology is strongly preferred.
  • The successful candidate must have previous experience in bovine reproduction, including bovine embryo transfer. Interest in canine theriogenology and equine reproduction is also desired.
  • Experience and a desire to teach veterinary students in didactic and laboratory setting as well as clinical rotations is essential.
The salary range will be commensurate with credentials and experience.
