Role Summary and Purpose
Leasing Consultants play a vital role in the
Old Oak
community, acting as the face of the organization and ensuring a seamless leasing experience from initial contact through to occupancy. You will assist prospective residents and handle leasing-related administrative tasks, all while fostering a positive work environment and contributing to high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Leasing & Sales
Meet prospective residents and provide information on apartment and building offerings
Utilize consultative sales skills to identify ideal rental options
Oversee leasing application completion and process rental applications, including credit checks
Recommend lease approvals to the Property Manager
Maintain a "future prospects" log for proactive follow-up
Stay up to date on Residential Tenancies Act and internal leasing policies
Administrative
Maintain and organize leasing marketing materials and resident documentation
Support the Resident Service office with administrative tasks, including delivering notices
Send Welcome Packages to new residents within 10 days of application approval
Reception and Customer Service
Answer phones, assist walk-in customers, and provide additional customer service during peak times
Aid residents with insurance processes
Continuously seek ways to enhance the customer experience
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
Positive and energetic attitude, with strong communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act is an asset
Sales or leasing experience is preferred
Strong multitasking abilities with attention to detail
Flexibility in working hours, including weekends, with a commitment of 37.5 to 44 hours per week
Working Hours:
Your standard hours will be Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, 9:00 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday and Thursday 10:30 a.m.- 7:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch period. Occasionally, overtime may be required.
Additional Note:
In addition to base salary, successful candidate will be eligible for commission based on the achievement of pre-determined performance targets. The commission structure will be outlined separately and is contingent upon meeting specific sales or performance goals. The targets and commission rates will be reviewed periodically and may be adjusted based on company goals and individual performance.
