We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Leasing Associate to join our property management team. Duties
Greet prospective tenants warmly and provide comprehensive tours of available properties, highlighting key features and benefits to generate interest.
Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through lease signing, ensuring all steps are completed accurately and efficiently.
Utilize property management software such as Yardi o& CRM to input data, track leads, and maintain detailed records of interactions.
Verify applicant information by conducting background checks, income verification, and reviewing credit reports in accordance with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines.
Prepare and review lease agreements, contracts, and legal documents with applicants, ensuring clarity and compliance with landlord-tenant law.
Handle customer service inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy, addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
Upsell additional services or amenities that enhance tenant satisfaction while supporting property revenue goals.
Maintain organized filing systems for leasing documents, legal paperwork, and maintenance records; perform data entry tasks accurately.
Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate move-ins/move-outs and address tenant requests efficiently.
Manage conflict resolution between tenants or prospective tenants by employing conflict management strategies to foster positive relationships.
Stay informed about local real estate market trends, fair housing laws, and regulatory updates to ensure compliance at all times.
Experience
Proven experience in property leasing or real estate administrative roles, preferably within multifamily.
Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 housing policies, and legal administrative procedures.
Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi or CRM.
Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle sensitive situations tactfully.
Previous office experience involving data entry, filing, contracts management, and phone etiquette is highly desirable.
Ability to negotiate lease terms confidently while maintaining compliance standards.
Experience in sales or upselling within a real estate or customer service setting will be advantageous.
Excellent conflict management skills combined with strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Knowledge of facilities management principles related to property maintenance and tenant satisfaction is beneficial.
