As a Leasing Associate at Edon, you will play a crucial role in our mission to lease and manage a growing portfolio of commercial properties. Your responsibilities will encompass implementing effective marketing strategies, organizing property showings, coordinating document execution, collaborating with stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Key Deliverables:

  • Implement Effective Marketing Strategies: Devise and execute marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants to our properties.
  • Property Showings: Organize property showings and professionally guide prospective tenants through available spaces.
  • Document Coordination: Efficiently manage discussions, revisions, and execution of all documents between landlords/clients and tenants (or their agents).
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with clients, counsel, and other stakeholders to handle all transactional and legal matters related to commercial real estate.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transactions, tenants, KPIs, and other metrics as required.
  • Leasing Activity Reports: Prepare leasing activity reports for presentation to the client.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure accuracy and compliance with all legal requirements and adherence to internal guidelines.

Major Responsibilities
  • Liaise with brokers and prospective tenants, tour available suites, and provide accurate and timely information about the properties;
  • Review Offers to Lease by external brokers and respond to RFPs and LOIs;
  • Assist in the acquisition and disposition of assets in the portfolio;
  • Maintain contact and positive relationships with leasing representatives and associated personnel;
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, tenants, colleagues, stakeholders, contractors, vendors and suppliers;
  • Portray a favorable image of the organization as the front-line contact with clients and tenants;
  • Accurately document and consult with clients on the terms and conditions of lease deals and amend terms and conditions as required;
  • Draft various real estate agreements and documents to achieve desired outcomes

Experience & Qualifications
  • Licensed Real Estate Associate
  • Minimum one to two years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the commercial real estate industry with brokerage or landlord leasing;
  • Knowledge of legal and commercial real estate documents;
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and relationship building skills;
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products (SharePoint, Word, Excel);
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to simultaneously handle and prioritize multiple tasks and projects;\\
  • Detail oriented with an ability to analyze and proofread complex legal documents.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma from an accredited institution (business or commerce degrees preferred)
