As a Leasing Agent (Contract) with Drake Property Management, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with professionalism and care. This is a part-time freelance role (16-24 hours per week), ideal for someone who is motivated, flexible, and passionate about real estate. The role is primarily remote, but you will be required to conduct in-person property tours and support move-ins on-site.
Your primary objective will be to convert leads into leases by effectively communicating the value of our properties, creating an inviting image of our communities, and ensuring residents have a positive experience from first contact through move-in. You will work with leads provided by the company while also generating your own leads through outreach, networking, and marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Sales
Conduct engaging property tours for prospective residents, highlighting unit features and community benefits
Respond promptly to inquiries, providing accurate and detailed information about lease terms and property features.
Manage the entire leasing process from initial contact through lease signing, ensuring accuracy in all documentation.
Personalize tours and communications to meet the specific needs of each prospect.
Work with company-provided leads while also proactively generating your own leads.
Achieve high conversion rates by effectively presenting our competitive advantages.
Resident Move-In & Inspections
Conduct move-in day inspections to ensure units meet quality standards, documenting any deficiencies.
Provide a smooth move-in experience by handing over keys and sharing all necessary resident information.
Marketing & Relationship Building
Actively generate new leads through outreach, networking, social media, and other marketing channels.
Assist in company-led marketing initiatives, including online listings, campaigns, and community events.
Build and maintain positive relationships with prospective and current residents to foster community and trust.
Operations & Compliance
Ensure all leasing activities are compliant with company policies and local regulations.
Monitor market trends and competitor offerings; provide feedback to the Property Manager to inform pricing and promotions.
Report regularly on leasing performance, lead quality, and market activity.
Qualifications
Previous experience in property management, leasing, real estate, or sales preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport quickly.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to generate leads through networking, outreach, or sales experience.
Familiarity with leasing software and digital tools is an asset.
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
Availability to work flexible hours, including one full 8-hour shift on either Saturday or Sunday, plus additional weekday hours to a maximum of 24hrs per week.
