Are you passionate about helping young people thrive academically and socially? BGC London is seeking a dedicated Learning and Tutoring Facilitator to support our My Action Plan (M.A.P.) program. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys working with youth, and believes in the power of education to transform lives.
You'll work alongside the M.A.P. Coordinator to deliver tutoring sessions, facilitate social skills workshops, and support outreach efforts. You'll also contribute to other BGC programs, including Day Camps, helping create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring space for children and youth.
Key Responsibilities
o Plan and lead tutoring sessions and academic enrichment activities for Grades 4-12
o Facilitate engaging social skills development workshops
o Assist in organizing program events and maintaining participant engagement
o Support outreach and promotional efforts to grow community awareness
o Collaborate with other BGC programs, including Day Camps
o Maintain accurate records of participant progress and program activities
o Work closely with the M.A.P. Coordinator to ensure smooth program delivery
o Follow health and safety protocols and maintain a professional demeanor
Qualifications & Requirements
o University degree or college diploma in Education, Social Work, Child & Youth Work, or a related field
o High Five: Principles of Healthy Child Development certification, an asset
o Experience working with children and youth in educational or recreational settings preferred
o Knowledge in science and/or mathematics is considered an asset, particularly when supporting student learning and engagement.
Other Requirements
o Full G Driver's License required; access to a reliable vehicle is an asset
o Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
o Current First Aid & C.P.R. Level C Certificate required
o Current Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance issued by local police station is required.
Working Condition:
o Working onsite in different Elementary schools, primarily in Library areas.
Learning and Tutoring Facilitator
One (1) part time position available
10 - 15 hours per week / Nov. 10, 2025 - June 19, 2026
Monday to Friday, Evenings and weekends when needed
