Reporting to a Team Lead within Learning Space Support (LSS), part of the Digital Learning Environment (DLE) portfolio, this role plays a critical front-line role in enabling effective teaching and learning across campus. As a Learning Space Support Analyst, you will work directly with instructors to support and enhance their use of technology in more than 1,200 learning spaces, meeting rooms, and computer labs. The LSS team provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, ensuring that classroom technologies function seamlessly and that instructors feel confident using them to achieve their pedagogical goals.
As one of the primary points of contact between instructors and Information Services & Technology (IST), this position is both highly visible and deeply collaborative. You will support all aspects of classroom technology, including audiovisual systems, web conferencing tools, and instructional software, while providing hands-on guidance and training tailored to individual teaching needs. By combining technical expertise with strong customer service and a passion for teaching and learning, this role directly contributes to creating engaging, reliable, and innovative learning experiences for the university community.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 front-line support and training for instructors using classroom, lab, and meeting space technologies, ensuring effective use aligned with pedagogical goals.
  • Support, troubleshoot, and maintain audiovisual systems and instructional technologies across campus learning spaces, including lecture capture, web conferencing, and media tools.
  • Act as an escalation point for classroom technology issues, performing initial diagnostics and coordinating with other IST teams and vendors to resolve hardware and software incidents.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with instructors, academic units, and administrative staff to deliver responsive, client-focused support.
  • Support major academic activities, including synchronous teaching, computer-based exams, and university events, minimizing disruptions and ensuring reliable technology performance.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma in media, design, theatre production, radio/television, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the audiovisual or IT industry.
  • Intermediate to advanced technical knowledge of web and video conferencing systems.
  • Experience supporting technology in an educational or instructional environment.
  • Experience with video and audio editing software.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering training to both individuals and groups.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to adapt effectively to change and ambiguity.
