Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA)
1. Provide one-to-one or group support to students through the following tutoring modes: online, drop-in, appointment-based, or workshop.
2. Provide content support to students, specifically with the following courses, ACCT 125, 225, 605, FIN 220, ECON 120, MATH 139
3. Assist students with learning success skills and strategies in the online or face-to-face environment.
4. Provide tutor consultations and timely support to students at risk.
5. Assist in identification of study resources appropriate to support specific course content and share with students to improve their individual learning habits.
6. Maintain a positive learning environment while assisting students in building their confidence, knowledge, and abilities in their studies.
7. In consultation with Learning Services Instructors, seek any clarification needed from program instructors to meet course expectations.
8. In consultation with the Learning Services and/or program instructor(s), be reflective of and responsive to accommodation of diverse learning needs, including equity groups and English language learners, through the use of appropriate instructional methodologies.
9. Provide support to Learning Services instructors as directed which includes, but is not limited to, recording and maintaining quantitative records; and researching and collecting student friendly support and reference materials.
10. Work cooperatively in an interdependent team environment.
11. Participate in mentorship and training sessions.
12. Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with employer and educational requirements.

14. Must be available for evenings and weekends as determined and be willing to provide flexibility with advanced notice to create a schedule that suits students' availability.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)
1. Grade 12 or equivalent.
2. Relevant experience in Accounting and Finance an asset.
3. Minimum of 6 months' experience in the last 2 years as a tutor in an online learning environment.
4. Effective oral and written communication skills.
5. Effective interpersonal skills.
6. Excellent organizational skills.
7. Ability to function as team member in an ever-changing environment.
8. Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
9. Demonstrates valuing diversity.
