Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Centre Teacher to join our educational team at Adventure Growth Space in Richmond, BC. The ideal candidate will inspire school-age students to develop their acadamic skills while fostering a love for learning. This position involves creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth.

Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and projects; provide constructive feedback to support improvement. Create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and active participation. Utilize various teaching methods and technologies to engage students with diverse learning styles. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field; ESL teaching certification preferred. Strong knowledge of English language arts curriculum and instructional strategies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles. Experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred. Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching are essential qualities for success in this role.
