About the role




As a Training Coordinator, your work will have a big impact with our Specialty Learning & Development team. People will count on you to provide exceptional service with the coordination, support and delivery of training including prioritising requests, managing logistics and measuring results. This role reports to the Learning & Development Manager, Specialty Solutions and can be based out of our Calgary, Vancouver, or Toronto offices.
Here are a few ways you'll make a difference:

  • Organize and lead logistics planning for all elements related to training, both in a virtual and in-person training environment
  • Assist in the pre-delivery functions for training (i.e. set up of training material and distributes training material).
  • Initiate technology checks with facilitators and presenters to ensure functionality
  • Manage communications regarding initiative updates, course changes, new programs and surveys.
  • Organize invitations for each session, managing attendance and rescheduling training sessions as needed
  • Create and manage post facilitation survey results
  • Communicate with stakeholders within Specialty
  • Book training rooms, install necessary equipment and provide IT virtual support
  • Manages accreditation of presentations for brokers
  • Actively participate in regular brainstorming sessions with the team
  • Participate in various projects and other duties as needed





Qualifications




What you bring to the table:
  • 2+ years administrative or office experience
  • Experience within Specialty Solutions is preferred
  • Experience in the coordination of events or training sessions is an asset
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency level with Microsoft office suite
  • Comfort with using and learning virtual or digital platforms for training
  • Technology savvy and curious to learn new software programs
  • A strong commitment to provide an effortless customer experience
  • Excellent ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team
  • Takes initiative and exercises independent thinking
  • Ability to adapt quickly in an ever-evolving business
  • Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
