Under the direction of the Operations Efficiency Leader, the Lean Operations Engineer is responsible for bringing technical expertise to the Business Area Cross Functional Team. Serving as the engineer on the team, the Lean Ops Engineer will ensure the line flows, hits its productivity OEE, OTD, quality FPY, and Cost targets.
The Lean Ops Engineer will support the production line with regards to process flow, production equipment, line layout, plant layout, quality corrective actions, engineering change orders and lean enterprise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide root cause analysis of key issues for the product family.
Daily collaboration with production, purchasing, design engineering, and maintenance to maintain and improve Geniox performance.
Within cross functional team, you will investigate, source and develop solutions to issues throughout the business area. The job will include facilitating actions that support and improve factory efficiencies utilizing lean manufacturing & continuous improvement techniques.
Strategically teach, facilitate and implement lean tools to assist Operations in QMS, Customer Quality, Internal Quality, Supplier Quality, and New Product Development Quality.
Lean Product Family Production Support including:
Support QMS ISO9000 Implementation
Improve Production Flow by addressing CI and CAR for BOM accuracy, KanBan and Lean Systems, Work Center design, Automation and Electronic Business tools and systems.
Track and report Departmental KPIs and implement projects to improve or meet targets
Implement new tools in Canea, Boards on Fire, m3 and others.
Generate and process ECO's to better the product and production
Close CAR's that impact the Business Area Metrics
Interact with Team Leaders, Quality Inspectors and Supervisors to assist Line Managers develop their team and resolve issues
Continuous Improvement
Conduct 5S events
Support Boards on Fire
Facilitate Process Mapping Events
Implement CI projects
Act as SPM Coach for the Product Family
Provide task completion support to production supervisors.
Observe and analyze current state situations.
Maintain and track important metrics.
Map and modify processes that pertain to product family.
Skills, Education, and/or Experience
The following are education and experience criteria used to evaluate the suitability of the Lean Operations Engineer Profile for candidates for the position:
Degree/Diploma level qualified in an Engineering or Business discipline
Preferred exposure to a manufacturing environment
Willingness to learn lean manufacturing/continuous improvement tools
Experience in MS Teams
Clear communication skills
Ability to build cross collaborative relationships
Job Conditions
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and looking at a computer.
Light physical effort - able to lift up to 20lbs at times.
Must be able to travel a minimum of 35% to meet business needs.
Work Environment:
Office Environment or in the Field (territory). At times, in Factory, Warehouse, and/or Distribution Center.
May incur frequent travel via plane within a given territory.
May involve working outside regular business hours to meet with customers or attend trade shows and other events.
