Position Summary

The Lean Management Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives within the organization by applying lean principles and methodologies. This role involves coordinating and facilitating lean projects, working closely with the lean management team, identifying opportunities for process optimization, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement ean practices effectively.



Specific Accountabilities

Project Coordination: Lead and coordinate Lean projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Process Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of existing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas requiring improvement. Lean Implementation: Apply Lean principles and methodologies, such as workflow mapping, 5S, Kaizen and Kanban, to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity. Training and Education: Assist in training and supporting team members on Lean concepts, tools, and techniques to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Change Management: Support change management efforts by facilitating communication, addressing resistance to change, and promoting a positive Lean culture. Visual Management: Assist in creating visual management tools to sustain Lean improvements and ensure consistency in processes. Documentation and Reporting: Assist in establishing standard work practises, create and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), create accurate documentation of Lean projects, including project plans, progress reports, cost spread sheets for ASEC other major projects and performance monitoring as projects progress.

Qualifications

Education & Work Experience

Completion of a college diploma. Equivalent post-secondary education would be considered an asset. 3 - 5 years previous experience in ISO or quality control role

Competencies and Skills

Strong understanding of analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results

Working Conditions

Valid Driver's license. Ability to travel (overnight stays may be required). Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
