Robert Bosch Inc is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Lean CIP Coordinator to join our Mississauga Logistics team. Reporting to the Distribution Manager, this position will be a key role in driving performance improvement and creating a lean culture throughout Robert Bosch Canada. The candidate will lead end-to-end delivery of assessing complex business/process issues, identifying actionable opportunities, and designing solutions. Drive productivity improvements and reduce non-value adding expense. Promote more effective use of existing tools and processes and eliminate those that are not used or are ineffectual. The Warehouse Lean CIP Coordinator must comply with Bosch polices as well as uphold safety polices including safe work practices.


This is a 12 month contract position based out of our Mississauga Distribution Center. Possibility of extension upon completion of contract.
  • Lead the implementation of continuous improvement activities using the Bosch philosophies and tools of Lean, Six Sigma and other continuous improvement techniques to improve the end to end customer order execution, eliminate waste, and reduce overall operational expense.
  • Manage process analysis, design, and simulation for complex systems Apply expertise to development teams (Business, IT, Departmental) on tools and approaches to automate and streamline key processes Design processes and workflows that maximize efficiency while maintaining high levels of customer experience.
  • Anticipates and plans for process integration opportunities that support ever evolving business objectives Adjust tactical direction for the operation based on supporting business needs Creates process changes by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicates these changes to affected areas.
  • Lead, teach and mentor associates in good process design Plan, coordinate, and direct Lean workshops and CIP activities across all areas.
  • Maintain contact with both internal and external customers to ensure their expectations are clarified, understood and met.
  • Work with all business partners in the value stream to identify and implement lean processes.
  • Work as a support for EWM and taking care of many other topics and create daily reports for the GS-LOW.
  • Work as a support for the core business and prepare necessary documents for shipping the skids to US.
  • Preparation and Implementation for any new business coming to RBCA.
  • Preparation for the internal and external audit and managing all the non-conformance.
  • Work as a backup for the BBM business whenever required.
  • Responsible for ordering all the supplies for the warehouse on bi-weekly basis.
  • Managing all the activities and communications in the Warehouse (events, trainings).
  • Providing support for all the HSE related topics in the warehouse.
  • Providing support for the QP project reports.


Qualifications
  • Analytical, multi-tasking and critical thinking skills required.
  • Minimum B.Sc. Degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Strong customer orientation and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven proficiency in an automated warehouse environment, working knowledge of WMS technologies and Warehouse Distribution environment.
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse operations and cost structures.
  • Knowledge of company production systems required (document control, 5S, Lean or Six Sigma tools).
  • Experience with project management tools.
  • Available to work 100% physically at Bosch Mississauga DC.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Able to read, write and understand English.
  • Effective Communication Skills.
  • Understanding key principles of inventory record keeping.
  • Keyboard / Computer literacy and accuracy.
  • Above average attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite.
  • 1 year experience in Distribution Centre / Warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements:
  • Lift, lower, push, pull all sizes of materials up to and more than 50 lbs.
  • Build pallets.
  • In the process of moving materials, the inventory control supervisor must lift, bend, stoop, reach, twist, push and pull.
