Con-Tech General Contractors is looking to add Qualified Water and Sewer Leadhand/Pipelayer to our growing company. Roles and Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Work with Divisional superintendent in coordinating project and driving production; \xc2\xb7 Ensuring quality of work through hands on supervision of crew; \xc2\xb7 Verifying elevations and grades to ensure proper installation if utilities; \xc2\xb7 Testing of water lines (pressure, chlorine, bacteria) as required; \xc2\xb7 Other related duties as required. Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in water and sewer construction an asset.
• Laying and joining concrete, HDPE and PVC pipe and fittings for drains, sewers and watermains.
• Fusing Certification
• Experience as a lead hand of water and sewer crew.
• Current drivers license. Class 1A and asset
• Ability to read and understand engineered drawings and specifications.
• The ability to problem solve and stay focused in high pressure situations.
• Prepare and grade trenches manually with shovel or by working within close proximity of excavator operators.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Patience in dealing with new skills training and orientation.
• Ability to work well in a team environment. Must be a team player.
• Willing to learn and implement Con-Tech\xe2\x80\x99s core values and processes.
• willingness to learn and share ideas.
