Leadhand - What we are looking for...



Someone who will work closely with Journeymen and Apprentices throughout the shop to keep projects on pace. Someone with strong mechanical skills to assist in building Injectors/Rigs and custom manufactured projects. Someone who can maintain shop equipment and the building. Filing maintenance requests and quoting costs for repair on machines, vehicles, and commercial property. Someone who is willing to learn the product thoroughly and build an understanding of the unit's function and maintenance to assist Production Supervisor with customer support. Someone with computer skills to write reports, order parts/shop supplies and review documents. Someone who can assist with planning and development of work instructions for jobs prior to release to production. Someone who can assist with drawing reviews and cross examination of parts supplied vs B.O.M on drawings. Someone with a strong consistent presence on the shop floor pushing the mechanical team towards quality work and efficiency. Someone who will push back on poor workmanship and keep shop rules active. Someone who will cover for the production supervisor as needed.

Job Duties



Provide component troubleshooting and diagnostic repairs Installation of new and add-on equipment Conduct modifications on vehicles and equipment Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs to oilfield equipment to ensure that the equipment is available, reliable and safe to operate Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts and supplies Accurate completion of work orders Test equipment for proper performance Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations Assist in preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules Perform in a team environment with minimal supervision Sign off on time sheets and ensure work orders are charged correctly Run toolbox meetings and discuss daily tasks with employees Complete redline drawings and work closely with Engineering to problem solve Write up reports/procedures and answer service calls for Coil and customers Ensure operations are smooth, productive, and completed on time by appropriate workforce planning and task assignment to employees. Other daily tasks and mechanical repair work as required.

Requirements



Must hold a Journeyman's certificate or have Red Seal - HET or Millwright

5 years' experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic or Millwright Oilfield equipment basic knowledge Experience working in a Heavy Truck Service environment Possess a valid driver's license Proven mechanical abilities Ability to work independently in a busy environment Experience with routine maintenance operations Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Able to work well under pressure Strong attention to detail Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times Computer literate

Work Conditions



24/7 availability may be required Physical ability to lift up to 50lb Travel to off-site locations may be required Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc. Overtime as required Hazards associated with the trade Work both indoors and outdoors May be exposed to construction sites
