Title: Lead Visitor Experience Host - EDU001615

: The Provincial Capital Commission - Government House is currently seeking a Lead Visitor Experience Host. As the Lead Visitor Experience Host, you will be primarily responsible for the delivery of tours/programs to visitors and some development and implementation of new programs under the supervision of the Programming and Visitor Services Supervisor.


Duties include:


Primary Responsibility:


Deliver or assist with tours and programming of Government House and Edwardian Gardens to schools and the general public.

Greet visitors to Government House and provide excellent customer service.


Additional Responsibilities:


Assist with tour bookings including accepting and processing applications and requests.

Assist with internal set-ups for programs, including being able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Ensure adequate staffing coverage within the building through managing break schedules.

Implement new programs for a variety of audiences and work with the Supervisor on development.

Other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:

Excellent organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience with giving presentations, performance or public speaking.

Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team, while being accountable to one's own work.

Experience with large groups, committees, logistics, and procedures.


Other Qualifications:


Valid class 5 driver's license.

The ability and experience with compiling and organizing relevant information and using problem solving skills to achieve resolution.

The ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Experience managing teams and an understanding of human resources strategies.

Bilingual candidates in English and French will be considered an asset.

The successful candidate would typically have the knowledge required for this position through the completion of a diploma in History, Museum Studies, Education or Theatre or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
