Job Description

This Lead Technical Java Engineer role within Treasury, Tax and Forecasting Technology (TTF) is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in part of the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications system analysis and programming activities for an inhouse product used for master data management called Maphub.

This is a highly hands-on role and candidates with solid programming background in multiple technologies, frameworks, and databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, J2EE etc., who can lead a team of very smart developers would be preferred.

You will have the opportunity to play a critical role in a variety of complex and highly visible projects contributing to Citi\xe2\x80\x99s commitment of self-served application configurations/mappings. You will participate in discussions to ideate, analyze requirements, propose, and implement solutions, and have exposure to acquire extensive knowledge in finance, tax, legal, compliance and human resource.

Responsibilities:

End to end implementation of innovative solutions, software quality control assurance, development, and deployment

Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements

Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards

Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint

Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation

Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals

Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions

Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary

Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas to

Provide technical oversight across systems and applications

Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects

Contribute to formulation of strategies for applications development and other functional areas

Qualifications:

Highly hands-on, detail-oriented, and complex problem-solving skills

Previous Programming background in Java 8/11/12, J2EE full stack

Hands on programming experiences with Spring Framework MVC/Boot, Micro Services, Jenkins, MyBatis, Akka, MongoDb, SQL

Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns

Test Driven Development

Hands on experience in master data management products

15+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development lead role

Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications

Experience in managing and implementing successful projects

Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development

Experience in product-based development

Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

Demonstrated leadership and project management skills

Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
