Required Qualifications:



Minimum Four-Year Degree or equivalent. Preference given to candidates who have completed their Bachelor's Degree in Education and/or Master's Degree Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Education Curriculum and current educational policy At least two years' teaching experience Fluent in both English and French with experience creating and delivering lessons in both languages preferred Experience using Microsoft Office products, general office equipment, iPads and tablets Experience using social media for marketing purposes preferred

Essential Job Functions:



Manage teachers, tasks, and time to create balanced efficient instructional sessions for students Write student lessons and prepare teachers for instructional sessions Provide continuous training, development, and motivation for teachers Observe and coach teachers on a regular basis Attend to immediate instructor needs such as requests for materials or assistance with instruction Assume teacher responsibilities in emergent scheduling situations Proctor student assessments according to Sylvan Standards Greet and assist students with check in and check out Open and close according to procedures Assist other Directors with updates to schedules and day-to-day center operations May be required to assist with outbound marketing and data entry and prepare conference materials for the Executive Director

Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students and staff Verbal and written proficiency as it relates to communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of students Administrative skills which demonstrate attention to detail, superior time-management and structured organization Ability to work collaboratively as part of a very close team Customer Service, problem solving, and analytical skills
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week

Work Location: In person
