The successful candidate will provide Senior Level Surveillance Services to Calgary\xe2\x80\x99s finest entertainment venue, responsible for our four-star hotel, 60,000 square foot casino, banquet center, entertainment showroom, restaurants, pubs, and parking areas for the safety of patrons, staff, and protection of assets and gaming activities. This position is responsible for coordinating and leading the surveillance operations by monitoring, reporting, and providing recommendations relating to all activities to best safeguard all assets and provide a safe environment for all team members and guests. The Surveillance Lead Investigator will ensure the highest level of compliances of all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures, while supporting and fostering an environment based on growth and development. The Successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
  • Providing leadership and direction to the surveillance operation at the site level on a shift basis; providing input for team members performance objectives and evaluations
  • Assisting with the implementation of surveillance operation strategic plans
  • Work closely with AGLC, Calgary Police Services and other Federal/Provincial/Municipal authorities as needed.
  • Scheduling and supervising team members; verifying timesheets; assigning shift work assignments.
  • Monitoring, documenting, and reporting violations, large cash, and cash equivalent transactions excluded and self-excluded guests, and unauthorized access.
  • Maintaining logs; updating records; storing records securely for evidence purposes
  • Monitoring, documenting, and reporting on the condition of surveillance facilities and equipment; maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Reviewing special investigation results or requests as directed; provides reporting.
The is not all inclusive and is subject to change, addition or modification based on the needs of the Department and the Manager, Security & Surveillance. The Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:
  • Post-Secondary education in criminology or suitable combination of education and experience an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of surveillance and or Security experience required; A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience is preferred; gaming experience preferred.
  • AGLC Certificates including AML, Deal Us in Casino Staff Training (Phase 1 & 2), ProTect & ProServe Required
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen eye for detail, with the ability to focus on monitors for long periods of time.
  • Candidates must have strong knowledge & multiple years of experience with Access Control, Alarm and CCTV Systems (Avigilon/ IndigoVision, Victor Unified, Kantech etc)
  • Possess a high level of honesty and integrity.
  • Adherence to high standards, methods, and procedures
  • Strong Knowledge of AGLC Policies & Procedures
  • Background experience in Criminology an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The hours of work will be based on operational and business needs. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: From $25.00 per hour Benefits:
