APTN\xe2\x80\x99s Programming Department is searching for a dynamic internal candidate to fill the position of Lead \xe2\x80\x93 Special Projects. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work with producers and make recommendations for special events programming for a myriad of APTN events. Highlights of this opportunity:

  • Maintains a comprehensive Programming Calendar of Events, identifying and recommending opportunities for special APTN programming;
  • Works in collaboration with the Directors of TV Programming and Scheduling to program days of special programming;
  • Helps develop RFPs for special projects and works with relevant parties for program development and production;
  • Acts as the logistical Lead within APTN for special event projects such as Indigenous Day Live, NDTR, etc.
  • Acts as the lead APTN representative on special projects, and any additional forms of original programming, as assigned;
  • Assists in the screening of rough & fine cuts, assessment of special event scripts, and provides written recommendations;
  • Assists in tracking Special Events deliverables and maintains a record of producer and stakeholder of interactions;
  • Gathers data and assists with corporate reporting, as required;
  • Travel will be required, as assigned.

Your accomplishments and experience include:
  • A degree or diploma in a relevant discipline with proven related experience;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Broadcasting knowledge;
  • Experience working with an Indigenous organization as well as knowledge of Indigenous cultural perspectives is an asset.
