Take an active role in the full development life cycle of the project including requirements gathering, software design, prototyping when needed, programming, debugging, and testing of each site in preparation for production deployment. Proactively raises issues if requirements will lead to quality, system performance, or architectural issues in product. Demonstrate your ability to be self-directed, take a proactive approach to solving problems, and collaborate with team members to work out issues or review potential technical enhancements to the systems. Maintain an understanding of the latest Web applications and programming practices through education, study, and participation in workshops and groups. Follow standard deployment methodologies to insure safe and recoverable deployments.

This position is responsible for building, deploying, and supporting websites for Class Action client cases. The sites created by people in this position could be used by anywhere from hundreds to millions of users. The sites are built using some of the following tools.

• Meteor, Meteor-Up, Meteor Galaxy
• AWS: S3 & EC2
• Language = JavaScript
• Runtime = NodeJS
• View Layer = React & Blaze
• Web service layer = GraphQL / Apollo
• Database = MongoDB
• IDE = Microsoft Visual Studio
• Source Control = DevOps/GitHub

Job Responsibilities

The person in this role will work within a team to support Project Managers from the business to develop new sites for new cases and supporting existing sites until those cases close. The primary focus will be hands-on coding of the project using the technologies listed above. We are looking for someone with the following attributes.

• Detail orientated because the sites must exactly match client specifications.
• Proven ability to organize workload and manage multiple, sometimes conflicting, priorities.
• Complete assigned tasks on time in the manner they were requested.
• Work effectively within a team environment, including business resources.
• Acts as a resource for other software engineers, QA analyst, and the business team.
• Has experience working in an Agile Scrum SDLC environment.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing and supporting websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJS, Meteor, React, Blaze and Apollo / GraphQL.
• 3+ years of experience in using MongoDB, DevOps, Visual Studio and GitHub.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Outstanding troubleshooting and technical support skills.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Dedicated team player.
• Able to solve and understand complex problems.
