The OpenText Analytics Magellan platform delivers information to virtually unlimited numbers of users in record-breaking time. This highly scalable and clustered server platform generates, manages and securely delivers interactive, actionable business information to employees, customers and partners. OpenText Analytics Magellan can integrate information from any data source and application, and can be phased in, adding features and resources as.

You are great at:

Leading, driving, implementing highly scalable and complex systems solutions

Produce high quality system analysis, design specifications, and prototype that verifies the design.

Utilizing your analytical skills, ability to synthesise and abstract common problems to developing solutions that are intuitive and aesthetically pleasing.

Defining best practices and standards for systems design and product architecture.

Leading software design/code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to company standards

Working within and cross teams, to deliver efficient and scalable architecture and code that can interact and shared among product components.

Taking ownership of features and code bases, working under pressure, and handling multiple tasks simultaneously

Leading and driving enhancements and providing input on products and features developed by the teams.

What it takes:

BSCS is required, MSCS is preferred, with 10+ years of enterprise product development and architecture design

Skilled in MVC, algorithm design and analysis, including knowledge of data structures and design patterns.

Strong Java programming skills required.

RDBMS experience is required at least with one of the databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL or DB2

Strong expertise in user model and experience design, ability to abstract and match technical process to the best user experience possible

Knowledge/experience with business intelligence tools in the market is strongly preferred

Expertise in Servlet, JSP, Struts, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/CSS3, Bootstrap

Experience with JavaScript libraries jQuery and ReactJS. Angular is a plus

Firm grasp of lexical scoping, closures, and OO JavaScript

Experience in Configuring and working with LDAP and SSO Systems

Experience in handling performance and Security related aspects of web applications

Experience working with at least one of the following application servers is strongly preferred: Tomcat, JBoss, Oracle application server/web logic, web sphere

Experience/knowledge of Soap API and/or Restful API are required

Strong hands-on experience with building enterprise applications

Experience working with Eclipse development environment is required

Knowledge/experience with SWT/JFACE/GEF

Experience in performance-critical enterprise software development a strong plus

Experience working with clustering and load balancing are strongly preferred
