The opportunity:
OpenText™ OT2 is our next-generation Information Management as a Service platform that enables the development and deployment of multi-tenant SaaS applications. We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to work as part of a software development scrum team designing and implementing the Content Management APIs on the OT2 Platform, to enable application teams in building multi-tenant SaaS (software as a service) applications. Working with a team of experienced Product Managers, Developers, and Cloud Operations teams, you will contribute to the implementation of our cloud content management APIs.
You are great at:

• 
  Designing and implementing highly scalable, performant and secure cloud services
• Providing Technology Leadership and working with a team of Software Engineers to deliver the product roadmap by embracing Agile and DevOps
• Collaborating with Product Managers, Engineering Managers and Architects in shaping and aligning product roadmap and delivery of new features
• Discussing complex technical proposals with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Working with geographically dispersed teams

What it takes:
We are looking for a battle-hardened individual with a passion for technical design and the ability to contribute to team of senior, opiniated and passionate software engineers and architects. Applicants will already be working in a senior engineer position and have good knowledge of cloud technologies. You will have a demonstrable passion for software engineering with the following essential skills or proven experience

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong technical qualities with a passion for delivering leading-edge designs and contributing to a culture of technical excellence and innovative solution design
• Experience of content management concepts
• Experience in cloud computing, technical design and cloud native application development leveraging IaaS, PaaS and SaaS delivery models
• Experience with Java microservices in Spring Cloud and Spring Boot
• Experience in building SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) using REST APIs
• Experience of Algorithms, Data Structures, JDBC, SQL and in database technologies – SQL and No-SQL
• Experience working in Cloud PaaS providers such as CloudFoundry, Azure, AWS or GCP
• Good experience in AGILE development methodologies, DevOps and Cloud based Application Development and Deployment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills suited to a global organization
• Strong collaborative approach to problem-solving
