Job Purpose:
The Lead Rigger will fabricate and refurbish wire rope slings and other lifting assemblies and assist in the management and coordination of the rigging shop
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Fabricating/Splicing various slings (Synthetic Rope, Wire Rope, Chain, hardware)
Operating Machinery; Swaging Machine, Test-bench Machine, Reel Coiler Machine, Annealing Machine,
Familiar with rigging equipment terminology & procedures
Testing strength and flexibility of Wire Ropes / Chain / Synthetic Rope, Wire Rope Terminations, Rope Removal Criteria, Wire Rope Examination Procedures
Assisting and monitoring rigging shop to appropriately accommodate the team and our customer needs.
Job Requirements:
Must have experience in manufacturing role working with various tools.
5+ years experience splicing wire rope.
Forklift experience highly preferred, willing to certify.
Lifting Gear Inspection, Wire Rope Examiner and ASME rigging fundamentals and requirements.
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
Must be comfortable standing for extended periods of time.
Must be authorized to work in the Canada without sponsorship.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
