Job Description

Under the supervision of the Ground Operations Manager, the Ramp Team Lead is responsible for the effective coordination of ground operations to ensure smooth and safe aircraft operations. The role oversees maintenance, ground handling, and aircraft chartering teams, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.


Description of the main duties:

Supervise aircraft maintenance activities on the ramp. Manage ground staff, including maintenance technicians and ground handling agents. Coordinate aircraft loading and unloading operations while respecting schedules. Ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations. Plan and coordinate aircraft charter operations based on customer requests. Collaborate with other departments to resolve operational issues. Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide training when required. Manage ground resources and equipment efficiently. Ensure the availability of required spare parts and equipment. Report incidents or delays and propose improvement solutions. Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements



Must hold, at minimum, a valid Canadian work permit Diploma in airport management, transportation management, or a related field Minimum of 5 years' experience in supervisory roles within the aviation industry Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety procedures Previous experience managing ground operations teams Proficiency with maintenance management and airport operations software Valid driver's licence (Class 5) Class 3 driver's licence (an asset) Eligible to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) Bilingual (spoken French and English), due to an international clientele Ability to work in varying weather conditions (hot and cold) Physically able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
