Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Lead Project Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation) on a permanent basis at our Co-op Refinery in Regina, SK.

What you'll do:

You will be responsible for leading the Electrical & Instrumentation Project Engineering Team and accountable for the overall execution of an assigned portfolio of projects. You will supervise and lead a team of electrical/instrumentation Engineers and/or Technologists to ensure portfolio and department objectives are achieved.

  • You will execute highly complex, specialized projects in line with broad guidelines to achieve the department's goals.
  • You will provide mentorship, direction, and support on the design, development and delivery of projects, programs, systems, process technologies, equipment, and products to meet customer needs and achieve consistency in quality of work between team members and work within the Technical Services department.
  • You will act as "Subject matter expert" in certain technical areas of expertise and provide input and conclusive recommendations into strategic decisions.
  • You will contribute to continuous improvement of Project Engineering and Discipline Engineering initiatives by developing and implementing formalized processes and procedures to improve consistency and efficiency throughout the Technical Services department.
  • You will lead research and analysis to determine best practices and trends to provide input into guidelines, procedures, and practice improvements to create better efficiencies.
  • You will monitor budget and schedule of portfolio and actively work to minimize budget and schedule variance.
  • You will provide input into mid-term strategic direction and goals of the Technical Services department.
  • You will identify and align personal development needs in line with the business objectives.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Engineering & Engineering Technology and:
  • You have a bachelor's degree in Engineering in the Electrical or Instrumentation discipline.
  • You have a minimum of 10 to 15 years engineering experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.)
  • You have a membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as a Professional Engineer.
  • You're honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
