Join Sanofi's committed Communications team in Canada as a Communication Lead, Product Communication, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the favorable environment for successful launches of first-in-class and best-in-class products in the Canadian market. This strategic position combines external communication excellence with cross-functional collaboration to drive product success across both Specialty Care and General Medicine portfolios.


Main Responsibilities



External Communication (80% Primary Focus)



Strategic Communication Planning



Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies shaping a favorable environment for product launches Create integrated communication plans that align with brand objectives and business goals Establish key performance indicators and measurement frameworks for communication initiatives and impact

Earned Media Relations and Management



Build and maintain relationships with key healthcare journalists, Develop compelling story angles and press materials for product launches and milestones Coordinate media interviews, briefings, and exclusive opportunities Monitor media coverage and manage crisis communication when necessary

Paid Media Strategy and Execution



Collaborate with agencies and internal teams to develop paid media campaigns Ensure messaging consistency across all paid communication channels Coordinate with regulatory and legal teams to ensure compliance

Disease Awareness Campaigns



Design and implement disease education initiatives that create market readiness Partner with Public Affairs team to leverage patient advocacy groups and healthcare organizations Develop educational content that addresses unmet medical needs Facilitate patient storytelling opportunities that humanize therapeutic areas

Social Media Strategy and Management



Create and execute social media strategies for product communication Develop impactful content Measure and report impact Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical social media regulations

External Events Planning and Execution



Coordinate speaking and thought leadership opportunities Amplify Medical external events and expert presence at medical events

Internal Communication (20% Secondary Focus)



Employee Engagement Around Key Products



Facilitate cross-functional alignment on product messaging and positioning Develop internal communication strategies to build employee excitement and knowledge Craft engaging stories that connect employees to the patient impact of our products

Brand Planning Integration



Contribute strategic communication insights to brand planning processes Align communication strategies with marketing objectives and timelines Provide communication expertise during brand team strategic sessions

About You



Required Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field Minimum 5-7 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare communication Proven track record of successful product launch communication Strong understanding of Canadian healthcare landscape and regulatory environment Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Experience with digital communication platforms and social media management Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities Knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications



Advanced degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field Experience working in matrix organizations and cross-functional teams Previous experience with crisis communication and issues management Familiarity with Canadian media landscape and healthcare journalism Experience with patient advocacy and disease awareness campaigns Proficiency in communication measurement and analytics tools
