Purpose

Thinking about your next career move? Then think big! BHP is looking for a talented Lead Process Engineer, Surface Production to come and be part of the Integrated Operations Team based in Saskatoon. This position will be responsible for the development of all operational processes, work instructions and procedures to enable safe and efficient operation the Jansen Mill.

Work Location

Downtown, Saskatoon office. 40 hours per week. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

• Lead the development of operational routines and procedures for the Jansen Mill
• Contribute to the development of operator training and competency requirements
• Provide the operational expertise to support the development of the Integrated Operations Center (remote control room) and Laboratory
• Identify and assess risks, make risk informed decisions, use BHP\'s risk management framework, and build a risk-aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes
• Identify, engage and manage a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders
• Leverage technology and data to evaluate problems and identify solutions

About You

• Bachelor\'s degree in chemical, process or metallurgical engineering, or a related discipline
• Applicable processing experience in the mining industry, preferably potash
• An overriding commitment to health, safety, and environment
• Aptitude for translating technical documents and drawings into straightforward operator instructions
• Ability to anticipate, mitigate and confidently resolve potential problems within and across teams
• Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills, with an aptitude for collaborating with a range of internal and external stakeholders
