We are currently recruiting for a

Lead Mechanical Engineer

to join our Vancouver or Calgary office. The initial assignment would be on an execution project based in the USA (site visits will be required). As a senior member of the mechanical team, you will supervise and coordinate the delivery of multidiscipline engineering design.




About the Role




Deliver mechanical engineering design according to required timeframes and standards by supervising the performance of mechanical engineers, reviewing deliverables and providing high level technical expertise. Facilitate the purchase of appropriate equipment by specifying requirements and assisting procurement with the purchase of equipment Contribute to the cost-efficient delivery of mechanical engineering by managing the resources / engineering hours budget, reviewing and approving mechanical capital cost estimates, and recommending alternative approaches where applicable. Assist the development and review of relevant mechanical contracts by providing advice and input as required Issue drawings and other relevant information for construction (IFC) by working with other engineers and designers Motivate engineers and other project team members towards superior performance by supporting daily performance and providing ongoing mentoring and training

About You




Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 10 years mechanical design engineering experience in a relevant industry, e.g. mining, mineral processing, and materials handling. Ability to resolve most technical issues in an efficient manner utilizing personal knowledge, external consultants and in-house experience. Good knowledge of CAD, 3-D software and MS Office Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering. Commitment to mentoring and coaching of personnel. Proven ability to manage, motivate and influence employees at all levels. Strong analytical skills. Well-developed written and oral skills. Ability to prioritize tasks for the design team and manage time effectively.

Salary range: $140,000 - $180,000 annually





Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
