Job Summary
The Lead Manager of Process Improvement Division leads a group of professionals who work as internal consultants for all programs in NL Health Services. These Consultants facilitate and coach managers and front-line staff using management engineering, change management and quality process improvement techniques and tools. These techniques and tools include value stream mapping, problem solving A3s, root cause analysis and PDCA-based Kaizen Events/Rapid Improvement Events. Other strategies and tools involve development of project management charters, space/design redevelopment and flow creating strategies, load levelling, analyzing work processes and wait times, work standardization, 5S, visual workplace, pull systems, and just in time inventory to ensure timelines and cost controls are met. In addition, The Lead Manager and the other Consultants will design and teach lean management and industrial engineering techniques to managers and staff to assist with strategic long-term planning, as well lead collaborative working groups through innovation, conflict resolution, and utilization of change management skills to counter resistance.
Job Qualifications
Education
Bachelor\'s Degree in Business Administration/Commerce, Engineering, or other relevant discipline is required.
Master\'s degree is preferred.
Successful completion of a Six Sigma/Lean Certification and/or a Certificate in Project Management is required.
Experienceb
A minimum of five years\' experience within the last seven working in process improvement using tools/philosophies such as lean, industrial engineering, change management, space planning/design, cost-benefit analysis and risk assessment is required.
Experience in in a healthcare environment is preferred
Experience in a management or leadership role is required.

Ability to lead collaborative working groups through innovation, conflict resolution, and Utilization of change and project management skills.
Must be able to function effectively in a high pressure, diverse and changing environment.

Be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management.
Demonstrate effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize.
Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills as demonstrated by delivering presentations and writing reports
