Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Assist in menu planning and meal presentation to ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage
Handle food safely, adhering to all health regulations and safety guidelines
Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
Support catering events by preparing dishes for large groups
Ensure all food is prepared efficiently and served promptly during busy hours
Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth kitchen operation
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service environments
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
Experience with menu planning and fine dining presentation is preferred
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
Knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to accommodate special requests
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Previous experience in the food industry, including restaurant or catering experience, is highly desirable
