About the Role:




Reporting to the Senior Manager, Investment Operations, the

Lead, Investment Operations

provides financial and operational expertise in the analysis, accounting, and reporting of CAAT's investment portfolio. The incumbent will support the oversight of portfolio reporting and operational processes, while coaching team members to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement across investment operations.

As The Newest Member Of Our Team, You'll:



Assist with the oversight of the monthly accounting close process and daily operational activities of the Public Markets portfolio Prepare quarterly reports for senior executives and the Board of Trustees, delivering insights into financial highlights, investment cost reporting, and key portfolio drivers Review and analyze private fund valuation updates from investment managers, validating key drivers and coordinating the valuation process with various investment teams Oversee and enhance investment valuation processes and the calculation of management and performance fees Support cash forecasting for investment capital activities and maintain projection data to ensure effective portfolio liquidity management Support annual audits and assist with the preparation and review of the investment sections of the annual financial statements and related disclosures Provide guidance and support to team members, including coaching, training, and serving as the first point of contact for complex issues Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including custodians, investment managers, and auditors, to resolve operational issues and support strategic initiatives

To Succeed, You Bring:



Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in investment accounting/finance within a pension plan, institutional asset manager, or financial services firm; prior supervisory experience is preferred University degree or college diploma in Accounting or Business Administration Completion or working towards CPA, CFA, CAIA or other relevant designation is considered an asset Strong knowledge of IFRS and demonstrated experience with investment accounting practices, financial and management reporting, operations and audit practices Proven ability to take ownership and accountability for tasks and projects, delivering high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines Experience working with SAP Accounting Software and CIBC Mellon Custody Services is preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Python, VBA, and Power BI is considered an asset
