Summary
L\'employ\xc3\xa9(e) sera responsable de la conception et de la coordination des auxiliaires m\xc3\xa9caniques pour les centrales hydro\xc3\xa9lectriques.

La conception se compose d\'unit\xc3\xa9s de puissance hydrauliques (par exemple r\xc3\xa9servoir, pompes, vannes, actionneurs, tuyauterie) pour les vannes d\'entr\xc3\xa9e principales et le r\xc3\xa9gulateur de vitesse.

Il / Elle sera \xc3\xa9galement responsable de fournir un soutien technique pour les activit\xc3\xa9s de cha\xc3\xaene d\'approvisionnement, de qualit\xc3\xa9 et de construction et de mise en service li\xc3\xa9es aux g\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9rateurs hydro\xc3\xa9lectriques.

The employee will be responsible for the design and coordination of mechanical auxiliaries for hydropower plants.

The design consists of hydraulic power unities (e.g. reservoir, pumps, valves, actuators, piping) for main inlet valves and speed governor.

He / She will also be responsible for providing technical support for supply chain, quality and Construction & Commissioning activities related to hydro generators.

Accompagnement sur son p\xc3\xa9rim\xc3\xa8tre tout au long de son cycle de vie (achat, conception, fabrication, montage, mise en service et gestion de projet)
Fournir un soutien sur les activit\xc3\xa9s techniques d\'appel d\'offres (\xc3\xa9tude de site incluse)

Qualifications/Exigences :
Baccalaur\xc3\xa9at (Universitaire) en G\xc3\xa9nie M\xc3\xa9canique
Ing\xc3\xa9nieur professionnel agr\xc3\xa9\xc3\xa9 au Qu\xc3\xa9bec
Anglais courant \xc3\xa9crit et parl\xc3\xa9: L\'employ\xc3\xa9(e) sera amen\xc3\xa9(e) \xc3\xa0 interagir de mani\xc3\xa8re fluide avec des coll\xc3\xa8gues de nos autres installations \xc3\xa0 travers et/ou \xc3\xa0 l\'ext\xc3\xa9rieur du Canada, et qui sont g\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9ralement incapables de communiquer en fran\xc3\xa7ais et dont la langue de travail est principalement l\'anglais.
8 ans minimum d\'exp\xc3\xa9rience pertinente (apr\xc3\xa8s l\'obtention du dipl\xc3\xb4me)

Connaissances et/ou exp\xc3\xa9rience requises :
Dipl\xc3\xb4me universitaire en g\xc3\xa9nie m\xc3\xa9canique.
Exp\xc3\xa9rience dans le dimensionnement et la sp\xc3\xa9cification d\'\xc3\xa9quipements m\xc3\xa9caniques (par exemple, groupes hydrauliques - pompes, accumulateurs, vannes, actionneurs, tuyaux).
Connaissance g\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9rale des normes et r\xc3\xa8gles de dessin
Proactivit\xc3\xa9, sens de l\'urgence, autonomie

Responsibilities and activities:
Prepare design calculations, functional notices and technical specifications for purchasing.
Evaluate offers and design from suppliers (strong linked to specification and contract) coordinating the technical interface with them.
Manage drawings (supported by draftsmen) and Bill of Material (BoM)s without supervision.
Support on his/her scope during its life cycle (purchasing, design, manufacturing, erection, commissioning, and project management)
Provide support on technical tendering activities (site survey included)

Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor\'s Degree (University) in Mechanical Engineering
Registered Professional Engineer in Quebec
Fluent in written and spoken English : The employee will be required to interact fluidly with colleagues in our other facilities across and/or outside of Canada, and who are generally unable to communicate in French and whose language at work is predominantly English.
8 years minimum of relevant experience (after graduation)

Required knowledge and/or experience:
University degree in mechanical engineering.
Experienced in sizing and specifying mechanical equipment (e.g. hydraulic power unities - pumps, accumulators, valves, actuators, pipes).
General knowledge of drawing standards and rules
Pro-activeness, sense of urgency, autonomy

Nice to have asset knowledge:
Knowledge about hydro power plants
Knowledge on equipment installation and testing
