Position: Lead Housekeeper
Location: Albreda Lodge, Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing, BC
Job Type: Full-Time, Seasonal (Mid December - April)
Reports to: Albreda Lodge Manager
Overview
As Lead Housekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations at Albreda Lodge. This includes maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, supervising staff performing housekeeping duties, managing laundry services, and ensuring a clean, welcoming environment for our guests.
Responsibilities
Supervise and perform daily housekeeping duties in guest rooms, public areas, and staff spaces.
Operate and oversee laundry facilities.
Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment.
Train and mentor lodge staff performing housekeeping duties
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Greet and assist guests, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness in the Lodge including walls, floors, staff room, washrooms, storage areas, loading area, and proper storage and disposal of all garbage.
Monitoring the condition of all housekeeping equipment and recommending repair or replacement
Monitoring linen and cleaning chemicals inventories and recommending replacement and /or reordering.
Respecting guest's space & property.
General Duties
Have a thorough knowledge of our facilities, hours of operation, room/chalet types.
Be aware of special functions within the resort.
Know the activities we offer summer and winter.
Be resourceful as Lodge employees are an information source for guests.
Ensure guest confidentiality.
Evaluate guest needs and exceed guest expectations as much as possible.
Address clients by name and always introduce yourself.
Strive to assure effective communication and teamwork between all departments.
Ensure safety measures in all areas, including fire prevention and protection and keep the floor accident proof.
Strive to achieve above average scores in the MWHS customer service comment card ranking.
Attend weekly staff meetings.
Utilize lodge chats to ensure timely service.

Qualifications
2-5 years of experience in hospitality or housekeeping.
High school diploma or equivalent.
WHMIS Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Strong attention to detail and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet applications.
Experience in an up-scale customer service environment.
Knowledge of computer applications and use (Microsoft Word & Excel, Internet).
Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required.
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
Second language an asset (German, French, Spanish preferred).
Working Conditions
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures.
Living on site in a semi- remote area
10 hour days, six days a week
Long hours of work and will vary throughout the season, and you will be expected to be flexible and available for work when necessary (ie: down days, spring hours) to ensure optimal customer service throughout the season.
This position will spend much time standing, bending, and walking.
Occasional environmental exposures to cold heat and water.
Exposure to industrial cleaning products.
Carry light to heavy loads.
Work under time constraints.
Directly Supervises:
Lodge Employees when performing in the housekeeping role. All laundry activities.
