Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team as a Lead Host/Hostess. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment in the hospitality industry.
Duties:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome
- Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
- Answer phone calls professionally and maintain reservations via OpenTable
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and front area
- Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests
- Be a team player and an ambassador for the company at all times
- Maintain full knowledge of our retail products and pricing with an ability to sell to guests
Skills:
- Strong hospitality skills with a passion for providing excellent guest services
- Proficiency in using OpenTable
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food service procedures and restaurant operations
- Willingness to help out in other areas of the restaurant as needed
Requirements:
- Personable and welcoming demeanor
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred but not required
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have valid Pro-Serve Certification
- Must possess a valid SIN and able to obtain work in Canada
