Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Hand to oversee and coordinate construction activities on-site. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires effective communication with team members and stakeholders while managing resources and timelines.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines. Coordinate with project managers and other trades to facilitate smooth workflow and communication. Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications. Assist in budgeting processes, tracking expenses, and managing resources effectively. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide team members in their tasks. Mentor and train junior staff on best practices in construction techniques and site safety protocols.

Skills

Strong supervising experience with a proven track record in leading teams effectively. In-depth knowledge of construction processes including quality control, budgeting, blueprint reading, construction estimating, and schematics. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
