We are hiring a motivated and experienced Lead Hand to support our production team at West End Radiators. This role works closely with the Shop Foreman to ensure the shop operates efficiently, productively, and safely. The Lead Hand steps in to manage operations in the Shop Foreman's absence and contributes to the success of daily production targets. What you will do:

Support the Shop Foreman with day to day operations including coordinating schedules, staff requirements, and equipment management

Act as the primary contact in the Shop Foreman's absence

Assist with shop organization, testing, diagnosing, and measuring incoming jobs

Resolve production challenges and support workflow efficiencies to meet performance and quality standards

Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment and help develop employee skills

Maintain adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality, productivity and safety.

Participate in production and assist across various departments as required

Qualified candidates will possess the following skills/qualities:

2 years of previous leadership experience is a strong asset Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment, with knowledge of shop flow Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to involve staff in decision-making Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with teams and management Highly organized with effective time management and prioritization abilities Commitment to promoting a safe and efficient work environment Ability to work in an industrial setting, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing repetitive tasks
