BE Power Equipment is a leading manufacturer of pressure washers, air compressors, generators and water pumps serving industrial markets in over 30 countries. Headquartered in Abbotsford, BC, our third generation, family-owned business is focused on designing quality products and delivering exceptional service.


The Lead Hand is the first point of contact for employees. Working with the Supervisor and Manager, they are responsible for driving results with a high-performing team. This individual must lead effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environment with a positive, results driven attitude. This role requires strong communication, and problem-solving abilities to drive operational excellence, while also focusing on continuous improvement and safety.

This is a PM Shift position with the hours being Monday through Friday 3:15 pm to 11:45pm.

Requirements

Lead others (coach, mentor, train, and support drive results and hold team members accountable) Drive change and continuous improvement (ongoing daily problem solving) Understand and execute deliverables, targets and key performance indicators Plan requirements on a daily and weekly basis to maintain uninterrupted workflow Maintain warehouse cleanliness

What we are looking for in a successful candidate:

Demonstrated ability to lead and train people Strong communication skills Self-motivated, ability to thrive under pressure and drive change. Strong problem-solving skills "Safety first" mindset Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Basic to intermediate computer skills (MS Office) Physically fit (ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular and repetitive basis) Minimum 1-2 years' work experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Experience operating appropriate equipment an asset (i.e. forklift, tugger, etc.)
