Reporting directly to the Press Supervisors and Manufacturing Manager, the Lead Hand Press Operator Demonstrates strong leadership skills and the ability to train and develop the skills and knowledge of others. Sets up and operates the press, provides general

maintenance of press, maintains quality of product during production and has a strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsible for managing the activities of a crew to ensure the printing of quality products within the deadlines using established processes and procedures.


Qualifications:

A demonstrated ability to train and develop others using strong verbal communication skills. Possesses strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage a team. Must be able to set up and operate the press, provide general maintenance to the press, maintain quality of product during production. Ability to complete the following: Standard press time sheets, bundle count, Checklist, Weekly Safety Checklist, Inventory and Usage Reports. A strong understanding of Globetek and Genysis. Understanding and embracing 5'S workplace organization standards. Promotes Health & Safety policies and procedures. Adheres to continuous improvement, Preventative Maintenance and Standard Operating Procedures. Intermediate computer skills and completion of Grade 12 is preferred.
