Lead Hand - Packaging Department

to help guide our packaging team and keep our production running smoothly.

As a Lead Hand, you'll play a hands-on role supporting the Packaging Supervisor while ensuring your team meets quality, safety, and production goals. This is a great opportunity for someone with packaging or food manufacturing experience who is ready to take the next step into leadership.

What You'll Do

Lead and support the packaging team during your shift, scheduling breaks and working closely with management on the extruder line. Assign tasks and keep production flowing to meet daily targets. Ensure products are packaged, labeled, and coded accurately. Train and mentor team members in safety, quality, and efficiency. Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report larger concerns. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized packaging area.

What We're Looking For

Experience in food manufacturing or packaging (lead/crew leader experience an asset). Strong communication and leadership skills. Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and workplace safety. A team player with problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and doing physical tasks (standing, lifting up to 50 lbs). Flexible to work shifts, weekends, or overtime when needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
