If you are looking for a challenging and supportive place to work while being able to showcase your skills in a high-performance team- we would love to chat!Position Overview:As the Lead Hand Mechanic, you will support a team of 2 people while also effectively and efficiently performing multi-point inspections and repairs to school buses as well as light and medium-duty vehicles of diverse fuel types. Through team collaboration, integrity, and accountability, you will confidentially overcome challenges and provide innovations that provide valuable service benefits to the customer and positively contribute to a safe and ethical environment. The service and maintenance team supports a fleet of +100 school buses as well as other vehicles.Responsibilities:\xc2\xb7 First point of contact for all mechanics, leading a team and ensuring effective productivity.\xc2\xb7 Performing quality repairs and diagnostics on school buses and ambulances, as well as other vehicles\xc2\xb7 Follow service processes and repair procedures.\xc2\xb7 Pre-delivery inspection and ensuring service documentation is completed\xc2\xb7 Vehicle Safety inspections\xc2\xb7 Comply with warranty procedures & warranty materials during repairs.Requirements:\xc2\xb7 Journeyman Technician with Proven mechanical abilities and strong working knowledge of mechanical applications.\xc2\xb7 Familiar with warranty requirements and processes\xc2\xb7 Air Brake Endorsement\xc2\xb7 Valid Alberta Drivers License (will need to supply a recent abstract)\xc2\xb7 Must have access to own tools\xc2\xb7 Strong leadership skills, self-motivated, and organized with a high degree of accuracy.
