Lead Hand
to join our crew and help lead day-to-day operations on-site.
Job Summary
The Lead Hand will work closely with the Foreman and management team to oversee hardscaping installation and maintenance projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, hands-on landscaping experience, and a solid understanding of safe trailer operation and towing.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with leading and motivating a landscaping crew on job sites.
Ensure quality standards and deadlines are met for each project.
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and power tools safely.
Drive and tow trailers with equipment and materials to job sites (must be confident in reversing, parking, and securing loads).
Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and instructions.
Communicate effectively with team members and clients on-site.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Requirements
Valid Class 5 Driver's License (clean abstract)
- must be confident and experienced in
towing and reversing trailers
.
Minimum 2 years of landscaping experience (leadership experience is a strong asset).
Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong work ethic, reliable, and punctual.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of irrigation systems, planting, turf care, retaining walls, and paving stones is a plus.
