Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Lead GSE Technician

to join our team and take charge of complex ground support equipment maintenance operations. This leadership role combines hands-on technical expertise with team supervision, ensuring our clients receive the highest quality maintenance services that keep airports operational 24/7.

What You'll Do

Lead technical operations

for maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of diverse GSE fleet including baggage handling equipment, aircraft pushbacks, and ground power systems

Supervise and mentor

junior technicians, providing technical guidance and ensuring quality standards

Perform advanced diagnostics

on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems using specialized test equipment

Coordinate with airport operations

to minimize equipment downtime and maintain flight schedules

Ensure compliance

with FAA regulations, airport security protocols, and safety standards

Manage work orders

and maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation

Respond to emergency calls

for critical equipment failures requiring immediate attention

Interface with clients

including airline ground crews and airport management teams

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience in Maintenance or equivalent heavy equipment/automotive background Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to obtain airport security clearance (SIDA badge) Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions Strong leadership and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

ASE certification or equivalent technical certifications Airport/aviation industry experience Experience with computerized maintenance management systems DOT or EPA certifications Supervisory or lead technician experience
