As we continue to grow, we're looking for a passionate Business Development or Lead Generator to help us expand our client base and create new business opportunities.
Position Overview
The Business Development / Lead Generator plays a key role in identifying potential clients, generating qualified leads, and supporting our management team in building relationships across multiple sectors--including oil and gas, industrial, civil engineering, and construction.
You will be responsible for researching companies, initiating contact with decision-makers, and introducing Pacific Ropes' services. While you'll focus on generating leads and opportunities, our Director and Managers will handle the closing process.
This role is perfect for someone with a sales or marketing background who enjoys networking, building relationships, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Reach out to at least 50+ potential customers daily to generate interest in our rope access and confined space services.
Research and identify potential clients and projects across target industries (oil & gas, construction, industrial, civil, etc.)
Research and identify target audiences using platforms like LinkedIn, Face Book, HubSpot, and industry directories. Initiate contact through cold calls, emails, and social media engagement.
Develop a pipeline of potential clients and maintain accurate records in the company CRM.
Introduce Pacific Ropes' services to new prospects and explain our capabilities in Rope Access and Confined Space Rescue.
Support the Director and Managers by scheduling meetings with qualified leads.
Stay current on market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming projects.
Attend networking events, trade shows, or industry gatherings as needed.
Collaborate with the marketing team to improve outreach strategies and campaigns.
Cultivate relationships with prospective clients, acting as the first point of contact to establish trust and credibility.
Meet or exceed monthly target goals.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
Previous experience in sales, lead generation, or business development (B2B preferred)
Experience in industrial, construction, or technical service sectors
Strong communication and interpersonal skills--comfortable speaking with clients daily
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple leads simultaneously
Self-motivated and proactive with a drive to achieve results
Assets:
Familiarity with Rope Access, Confined Space Rescue, or similar service industries
Knowledge of CRM tools and lead-tracking systems such as HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms.
Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related field
