Lead Fitness Professional (Temporary Maternity Leave Position)

Are you an experienced Fitness Professional who thrives when empowering seniors to live life to the fullest?

This position will support the needs of fitness studio participants, oversee resident fitness programming for the community, and coordinate employee wellness programs. Oversee all operations of the Health and Fitness Studio. Assists aging adults at varying levels of physical abilities achieve their fitness goals by designing and implementing fitness training programs based upon individual needs.



Education/Licensing/Experience Requirements:



1. Bachelor's degree in exercise science, Kinesiology or related discipline;

2. Current personal training certification; ACSM, CSEP-CEP,CSEP-CPT or equivalent

3. Current, nationally recognized First Aid/AED/CPR certification, or obtained shortly after hire;

4. Minimum five years of experience as a Certified Personal Trainer or Exercise Physiologist;

5. Minimum five years of experience working with the mature population;

6. Experience growing and developing revenue in personal training programs, and knowledge of group exercise programming and trends. Experience in hiring and developing employees.

7. Experience in budget preparation, interpretation and forecasting;

8. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office required; experience in multiple software applications desired.



Essential Job Functions:



1. Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance and punctuality;

1. Design and implement all programs within the Health and Fitness Studio (HFS) according to the needs and desires of residents, team members and guests;

2. Required to create, monitor and modify an individualized fitness program for each client;

3. Ensure member confidentiality is protected through best practices;

4. Handle participant concerns in a compassionate, professional manner and report concerns to supervisor;

5. Work in a collaborative manner with team members to provide elite service and foster a strong, positive culture for team members;

6. Provide five-star hospitality by creating an environment that nurtures total wellness and is in line with the mission and values of Touchmark;

7. Supervise all health and fitness operations ensuring all equipment is in working order, safe, and clean, and if correction is needed respond in a timely manner;

8. Participate in strategic planning and program development to facilitate growth and accomplish the organizational mission;

9. Direct all administrative functions associated with the operations of health and fitness and provide required reports to leadership;

10. Attend all mandated meetings and trainings;

11. Assist in the creation of the operational budget and adhere to the parameters once approved;

12. Coordinate the purchase and maintenance of all fitness equipment and supplies, tracking inventory;

13. Plan and execute health education events according to the needs and desires of residents, team members and guests.

14. Ensure all health and fitness departmental Gold Standards are being met.



Position Responsibilities:



1. Provide vision, leadership and oversight modeling strong character, integrity and care for fellow team members and fitness participants community-wide, and the implementation of employee wellness and injury prevention programs;

2. Create and instruct group fitness programs and subsequent schedules of classes, providing continual monitoring of interest and success/class size using provided tracking tools;

3. Collaborate with human resources to hire, provide orientation for, train, mentor, manage and develop health and fitness team members following the mission and values of Touchmark.

4. Ensure a safe environment in both programming and equipment layout/design;

5. Provide personal training. Motivate and encourage clients towards goal achievement;

6. Obtain clientele through relationship and rapport building with residents/guests, with integrity

7. Be available to conduct tours, fitness orientations and assessments as needed;

8. Responsible for all aspects of client service in anticipating and meeting needs, displaying five-star hospitality towards everyone;
