The Role

The Team Lead is responsible for overseeing a team of approximately 12-15 individuals who apply excise tax stamps to finished cannabis goods in compliance with federal and provincial regulations. This role ensures operational efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards while fostering a positive and productive team environment.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and motivate a team of 12+ employees in the excise stamping process. Assign daily tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of production schedules. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and compliance requirements. Ensure all finished goods are stamped accurately and in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Monitor workflow and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency and minimize errors. Maintain accurate records of stamped inventory and reconcile discrepancies promptly. Enforce strict adherence to Health Canada and provincial cannabis regulations. Perform quality checks to verify proper stamp placement and product integrity. Train new team members on stamping procedures, safety protocols, and compliance standards. Promote a safe work environment by enforcing company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in cannabis operations, manufacturing, or inventory management. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong understanding of cannabis compliance regulations and excise stamping requirements. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks Comfortable working in a highly regulated environment
