I. Scope and Summary of Primary Responsibilities




Working in collaboration with others across the region and the country, , the Lead, Employer Outreach is responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with employer partners and fostering connections between employers and individuals who are blind, low vision who are deaf-blind who are seeking employment, known as our Talent Pool.



The Lead, Employer Outreach will lead the execution of employer engagement and outreach activities with the goal of fully activating the employer partners to ultimately hire talent pool based on the labour market trends and insights on talent pool's career goals.

II. Essential Functions

Lead and execute the employer engagement strategy based on labour market trends and talent pool's desired industries in the region. Directly engage and steward employer partners to hire from the Come to Work talent pool. Educate vocational service providers to be more inclusive and accessible to clients who are blind, Deafblind or have low vision. Collaborate with the wider team to maximize the possibility of talent pool to attain, maintain and retain employment. Lead the execution and achievement of key performance indicators that are associated to internal and funder metrics. Submit any requested reporting for funders on time to the direct supervisor for approval. Track interactions, program campaigns, and outcomes in the Client Relationship Management (CRM) database and portals in a timely manner. Supervise Outreach Coordinator(s) and Intern(s) as required. Other duties as assigned including special projects and events.

III. Qualifications



Knowledge and Skill Requirements



Excellent communication skills including public speaking and persuasive communication skills Strong people and interpersonal skills Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, deadlines, and procedures. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Working knowledge of Salesforce is an asset. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal abilities. Professional, results-driven, self-motivated, and adaptable. Demonstrates emotional intelligence and sensitivity when supporting individuals who are blind, Deafblind or have low vision. Familiarity with existing CNIB programs and program providers to build and maintain professional relationships is an asset. Must be able to work independently Ability to work with others as part of a team Willingness and ability to travel independently within the region. Fluent in English (written and oral). Fluency in French (written and oral) an asset.

Experience and Education



Minimum post-secondary education or equivalent experience. 2 - 3 years of outreach, community/partner/stakeholder cultivation experience Knowledge of adaptive technology an asset Work experience in non-profit sector is an asset Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and vision loss is considered an asset
