We have an exciting opportunity for a

Lead Electrical Buildings Engineer

(doer /seller) to join our

Calgary

based team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience (minimum 15 years) to establish and grow an electrical team in Calgary and to lead and shape projects across various sectors, including office, commercial, industrial, municipal and government buildings, as well as sports and recreational facilities, while also fostering client relationships.


You will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model that includes flexible work hours, working from home and in our Calgary AB office.


Primary Responsibilities

Establish and grow an electrical practice in Calgary, leveraging your experience to date and the expertise available in other locations across CIMA+ Directly engage with clients to understand project needs and maintain strong business relationships Participate in business development activities through the Calgary area As the team grows, contribute to the development of the electrical engineering group's technical expertise in order to meet our clients' needs Analyze and solve complex problems, identify appropriate work methods and guidelines, and coordinate project completion Assist in the supervision and management of electrical engineering team members, including engineers, technicians, and support staff Evaluate technical work, delegate responsibilities and provide instructions. Make recommendations regarding the selection of new employees in the recruitment process, training, performance evaluation and compensation management Prepare and reply to proposals in collaboration with the team assigned to this task

Qualifications



University degree in electrical engineering Registered member of a Professional Engineering association in Canada Over 15 years' experience in electrical engineering in the buildings sector Experience in managing teams of professional engineers (an asset) Knowledge and experience in the consulting engineering market and with clients in Calgary and surrounding area Demonstrate a commitment to client service that is second to none.
