Job Description

Summary of day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Emails, creative brief with clients, sourcing images online, laying out brochure article, storyboard, provide draft, edit, send to client for review, multiple workstreams and projects, meetings
  • The Lead Designer will be required to create new concepts as well as work within existing templates with a high degree of accuracy to produce a wide variety of materials that reflect brand guidelines. Examples include sales sheets, event collateral, website, videos, invitations and PowerPoint presentations. Assisting in art directing the work of other designers to produce competitive marketing collaterals.
  • The candidate must have high comfort and confidence level to handle all aspects of their projects, from communicating expectations to stakeholders/partners to providing creative solutions to meet their needs.
  • Innovate and lead multiple projects by influencing stakeholders in their understanding and engagement with the creative process. Playing a key role in inspiring other designers to adapt and learn new software, technologies, and multimedia
  • Certificate in Multimedia Graphic Design (minimum 4-year course) from a post-secondary institution.
Department Overview:
  • Client Creative Solutions team is a group within client Asset Management, specifically within Client Content Marketing & Communications team. The mandate of the team is to support a dynamic, multifaceted, multi-channel group working on numerous priorities and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • The successful candidate will join the in-house Creative Solutions team and be primarily responsible for supporting ongoing initiatives that will be delivered to both internal and external audiences.
/Accountabilities:

Key Accountabilities
  • Deliver exceptional creative solutions, act as an expert internal consultant, providing advice and guidance on design projects
  • Collaborate directly with partners to develop high quality marketing materials including marketing collateral, video, event themes and online assets, ensuring creative is aligned to strategy objectives
  • Collaborate with partners to apply learnings from past projects
  • Be an expert on best in class tactics and keep abreast of competitor creative
  • Effectively communicate directly with stakeholders and partners regarding creative, liaise with approved suppliers as appropriate
  • Strong project management and organizational skills while being detail oriented is a must in order to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines
  • Exceptional knowledge of UX and video production (storyboard and directing)
  • Creative thinker and self-starter with high attention to detail and relationship management skills
Technical Requirements:
  • Expert working knowledge of the following applications in both a Mac and PC environment:
o Adobe Creative Suites; InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, After Effects or Apple Final Cut Pro
o Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and Outlook, strong PowerPoint skills are essential
o Strong technical knowledge of web design such as HTML, CSS, and knowledge of web site structure, social media platforms and APP development
o 6+ years hands-on contribution in the areas of: digital, mobile, video, audio and motion graphics

Specific Educational Requirements/Accreditations:
  • Certificate in Multimedia Graphic Design (minimum 4-year course) from a post-secondary institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience within an agency or in-house environment, supporting corporate clients.
