We connect concepts with solutions to create value and efficiencies for our clients, employees, and communities. Our success is driven by our skilled and diverse team who are passionate about excellence, innovation, and agility.

This is not a technical role, it's about building relationships, influencing change, and supporting our people. You'll also guide the adoption of our Enterprise Data Policy, ensuring that the standards and guidelines behind it are understood, embedded, and sustained across the organization.

###

How you will create impact:

Lead the development and implementation of the Data Steward and Data Product Owner model, partnering with key business stakeholders to identify, onboard, and enable the right individuals across the enterprise. Serve as a trusted advisor to business and IT leaders, helping them understand the purpose, responsibilities, and accountabilities of data governance roles. Develop and deliver (or coordinate) role-based training, ensuring low-friction integration of responsibilities into existing workflows. Monitor and measure progress through coverage metrics and capability maturity, ensuring roles are not only assigned but actively engaged. Act as a champion for the Enterprise Data Policy, leading the adoption of supporting standards and guidelines, and managing the change effort required to embed them sustainably. Foster a community of practice for data governance stakeholders, providing ongoing support, guidance, and coaching to grow capabilities and strengthen engagement. Collaborate with the broader data office, including architecture, privacy, and data management teams, to ensure alignment and consistency in governance execution.

###

How you will succeed:

You have an innovative mindset to improve operational efficiencies and ability to influence change, with a primary focus on client needs. You use critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions and proactively propose solutions. You have strong communication skills to clearly convey messages and explore diverse points of view. You build trusting relationships and provide guidance to support the development of colleagues.

###

To join our team:

7-10 years of experience in Data Governance, including leading or supporting enterprise-wide role adoption or framework rollout initiatives. Strong understanding of data governance principles--particularly data stewardship, data product ownership, metadata, classification, and policy adoption. Experience with change management, stakeholder engagement, and training facilitation, ideally in complex or federated organizations. Demonstrated success guiding non-technical audiences through governance adoption in a non-invasive, empathetic, and practical manner. Familiarity with cloud-based data governance tooling such as Microsoft Purview, Azure Synapse, Unity Catalog, and metadata or catalog platforms like Alation or Collibra. Strong communication and influence skills, with the ability to engage at all levels, from technical teams to business executives. Post-secondary education in Information Science, Data Management, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.

###

What you need to know:

You will be subject to a Background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.
